EU AI Act Labeling & Transparency Rules Take Effect

Mandatory Digital Watermarking and Synthetic Media Disclosures

The European Union's landmark AI Act compliance timeline has reached a major milestone, as mandatory labeling and transparency regulations officially take effect across all 27 member states. Digital platforms must now automatically identify and label all deepfakes, synthetic audio, and AI-generated text.

Additionally, media platforms are required to embed cryptographically verifiable metadata (such as C2PA standards) into generated images.
