Google Pixel Watch 5: Gemini AI Health Coach, ECG & Battery Life

The Pixel Watch 5 features an upgraded PPG heart-rate array, standalone Gemini Health Coach, dual-chip hybrid architecture, and up to 48 hours of active battery life.

Google's wearable ecosystem took a major leap forward with the release of the Pixel Watch 5. Available in 41mm and 45mm aluminum and stainless steel cases, the smartwatch introduces a dual-chip hybrid architecture pairing a high-performance Qualcomm SW5100 processor with a micro-power Cortex-M55 co-processor.

The standout feature is the integration of Gemini Health Coach. Operating directly on health telemetry collected by the watch's multi-path optical PPG and bio-impedance sensors, Gemini synthesizes sleep patterns, heart rate variability (HRV), and VO2 max trends to deliver personalized natural-language health recommendations.

ECG, Micro-Vascular Sensing & 48-Hour Stamina

New medical-grade sensors evaluate arterial stiffness and micro-vascular blood flow, alerting users to early indicators of hypertension or cardiovascular stress. Combined with display efficiency upgrades under Wear OS 6, the Pixel Watch 5 reaches a true 48-hour battery life with Always-On Display enabled.

The Pixel Watch 5 starts at $349 for Wi-Fi and $449 for LTE configurations, including six months of Fitbit Premium and Gemini Advanced Health insights.
