Elon Musk’s SpaceX and xAI Install Gas Turbines to Power Colossus AI Supercomputer
SpaceX and xAI have deployed fast-tracked natural gas turbines in Memphis to supply off-grid electrical power to the expanding Colossus AI supercomputer cluster.
To overcome electric grid interconnection delays, Elon Musk's xAI and SpaceX have installed a bank of heavy-duty natural gas combustion turbines at their Memphis supercomputer facility. The turbines supply continuous megawatt-scale power directly to xAI's 100,000-GPU Colossus cluster.
