Sonos Finally Restores Live Activities Lockscreen Media Controls for iPhone Users
Sonos has answered one of the biggest complaints from its mobile user base by re-introducing Live Activities lockscreen controls and Dynamic Island playback widgets in its latest iOS app release. The feature had been abruptly removed during the controversial app overhaul last year.

The updated app allows iPhone owners to adjust multi-room volume, skip tracks, and view high-res album art directly from the lockscreen without opening the full application. Latency tests show control responsiveness has been reduced to under 50ms over local Wi-Fi networks.
Sonos CEO Patrick Spence acknowledged past software stumbles, promising continued feature parity and stability improvements across all platforms.
