CD Projekt Red Unveils The Witcher 3 Remaster Coming to Modern Consoles in September

CD Projekt Red capped off Gamescom announcements by revealing a comprehensive remaster of its critically acclaimed RPG, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Scheduled for release this September, the updated edition brings modern rendering enhancements and quality-of-life upgrades to modern console hardware.

The remaster incorporates full path-traced lighting, 4K high-resolution texture packs, asset streaming optimizations that reduce loading screens, and custom haptic controller integration. Existing game owners will receive the update as a free patch.

The release serves to reignite interest in the franchise as CD Projekt Red continues pre-production work on the upcoming Witcher 4 title built on Unreal Engine 5.
